Rachel Herriges (she/her) is an actress and playwright in Chicago with roots on the West Coast. In Santa Barbara, CA, Rachel got her B.A. at Westmont College, majoring in Theatre and Religious Studies. She is an ensemble member of A Short Leap Theatre Co. as well as a resident playwright for microChicago. As an author, Rachel enjoys writing works exploring grotesque, unusual, and captivating aspects of humanity with poetic prose. Notable works include I LOVE CHESS! (The Understudy), Hot Yoga for Women's Bodies (Chicago Dramatists), and Straw Hats in the Sand (Artery Theatre). As an actor, Rachel has most recently been seen in It's a Wonderful Life and Dante 360 with the Athenaeum Center, and several other stages throughout Chicago.
