Vanessa Copeland (she/her) is a Chicago-based actor who received her BA in Theater & Performance Studies (and Psychology) from Yale University, culminating in a collaboratively developed, devised project, This Could Be Something.

Originally from the South-Western suburbs of Chicago, she is very glad to be back in her home state of Illinois! She has continued her training at the Acting Studio Chicago and recently she’s been seen as Agnes u/s in A Short Leap’s inaugural production of Clearing and Aricica u/s in Phedre (Meat Machine). Some other roles she’s enjoyed have been #13 in The Wolves, Aviator in The Little Prince, and Bianca in The Taming of the Shrew.

When not performing, Vanessa can be found drawing, crocheting, learning the electric guitar, and lifting heavy weights. She loves animated movies and her two astonishingly extroverted cats, Nico and Gus.
