Laura Michele Erle (she/her) is so excited to be working with A Short Leap on such a poignant and all-too-relevant show. A Chicago-based actor, playwright, voiceover artist and singer, she holds a B.F.A. in Performance from Hofstra University. Select theater credits include: Margaret in Silent Sky (Citadel Theatre), Fanny Dashwood/Lucy Steele in Kate Hamill’s Sense & Sensibility, Governess in Jeffrey Hatcher’s The Turn of the Screw (Lost Nation Theater), and the Female Swing in A Christmas Carol: A Live Radio Play (Oil Lamp Theater). She co-authored the play Three Sisters, Four Women, a feminist reimagining of Chekhov’s classic, and originated the role of Irina in its premiere production at the Flea Theater in NYC, courtesy of SoHo Shakespeare Co. She has voiced numerous commercial campaigns and corporate narrations, and live announces events as well as sings with Third Coast Chorus. You can hear her as Vesper Kind in A Theatre in the Dark’s A Matter of Red Herrings, an audioplay available for download, and as Kasey in the new musical With or Without You, streaming on Spotify.
